Handmade, large, ceramic bowl carved with a ring of 5 moths painted with oxide in the carving that partially burnt out to create a soft, almost ghost image of the moths. With a layering of glazes at the center circle and glazed on the outside of the bowl with a dark green. The negative space around the moths makes the shape of a star. Moths are mysterious creatures, sometimes believed to be the spirits of those who have passed or the guides to take spirit souls to the afterlife. This is a one of a kind piece.
